Double Feature: Diálogo con mi Abuela and Las Madres de la Plaza de Mayo

In honor of Mother’s Day, join us for a double feature with Diálogo con mi Abuela (Conversation with My Grandmother) (Gloria Rolando, 2015, 40 min.), a familial portrait centering the contributions of Afro-Cuban women. Then, the Academy Award–nominated documentary Las Madres de la Plaza de Mayo (The Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo) (Susana Blaustein Muñoz and Lourdes Portillo, 1985, 64 min.) tells the story of the activist mothers who challenged the repressive regime in Argentina during the 1970s and 1980s.
