Family Program: Gender Identity
Saturday, October 17, 2015
2:30–5:30 pm
Meet in the Rubin Lobby, 1st Floor
Drawing inspiration from the exhibition Zanele Muholi: Isibonelo/Evidence, this interactive program for children and families challenges binary conceptions of gender. Includes story time and pretend-play for children 5 and under, and a workshop introducing the language of identity for children 6 to 12. Developed in partnership with the Ackerman Institute’s Gender & Family Project. Families are invited to a reception immediately following the program (4:15–5:30 p.m.). Free with Museum admission, but space is limited, so please R.S.V.P.
