Celebrate our exhibition We Wanted a Revolution: Black Radical Women, 1965–85 with acclaimed poet, novelist, activist, and Pulitzer Prize–winning author Alice Walker in this intimate lecture inspired by her life’s work and the exhibition. Walker won both the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1983 for The Color Purple, which was adapted as a movie in 1985 and a Broadway musical in 2005.
