Double Feature: Carmita and De Cierta Manera

Our film series presented in conjunction with the exhibition Radical Women: Latin American Art, 1960–1985 continues with Carmita (Israel Cárdenas and Laura Amelia Guzmán, 2013, 80 min.), which tells the story of Cuban actress Carmen Ignarra, who is exiled in Mexico. The documentary is paired with De Cierta Manera (One Way or Another) (Sara Gómez, 1977, 78 min.), which captures life in Havana after the Cuban Revolution through a blend of storytelling and historical footage.
Tickets are $10 and include Museum general admission (purchase tickets for David Bowie is separately). Member tickets are $8.
