Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra: Rossini and Tchaikovsky

Sunday, December 18, 2022, 2–4 pm

The Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra performs the magical score of La boutique fantasque, a ballet set in an enchanted toy shop. The music was written by Italian maestro Gioacchino Rossini and arranged by Ottorino Respighi. Then, violinist Kinga Augustyn joins as soloist for Tchaikovsky’s iconic Violin Concerto in D Major. To conclude, the orchestra celebrates the life of one of its staunchest supporters, Dr. Redington Barrett, with a short piece.

    Program:

    • Respighi and Rossini, La boutique fantasque (The Magic Toy Shop)

    • Tchaikovsky, Violin Concerto in D Major, op. 35, with Kinga Augustyn, violin

Advance tickets are $15 for seniors and Museum Members and $20 for non-Members; same-day tickets are $25 at the door. Free for youth 16 and under. Tickets are available through the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra.
