"Bring the Cool" Family Festival

Saturday, June 15, 2019, 12–4 pm

    Kick off the summer with a free interactive festival for families, celebrating the many people who make up our communities. Celebrate our stories and dreams, and imagine a world where children are in charge, through art-making, puppetry, spoken word, and more. Inspired by the theme "Our City: Celebrating Diversity," highlights include:

    • Create all day long with projects such as an art fort, community mosaic, power crown, and inspiration photo station

    • Go on a musical adventure with performer Benjamin and his magic backpack, puppets, and eight-year-old collaborator Raymond

    • Hunt all over the Museum for special tokens hidden in our galleries

    • Share your hopes and dreams, and put them in a time capsule to be opened at a future festival

    Hosted in partnership with Cool Culture and P.S. 1 Elementary School, with collaborators Community-Word Project and Curious Jane.

    Bilingual volunteers (Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese) will be present.

    Free for Cool Culture and P.S. 1 families. Free to the general public with Museum admission.
