2–3:30 pm

Meet in Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor

Visitors from the D/deaf community are invited to experience Elizabeth Catlett: A Black Revolutionary Artist and All That It Implies in an American Sign Language (ASL) tour, led by a Deaf teaching artist. After a brief meet-and-greet, explore how Catlett, a defining Black woman artist of the 20th century, created powerful prints and sculptures to fight against poverty, racism, and imperialism.

Free; registration is required.

This tour is designed for the d/Deaf community in ASL only, without voice interpretation. If you are an ASL student, please email access@brooklynmuseum.org for more information about ASL student tours for those at level 3 or above.
