Since 1980, Brooklyn-born photographer Jamel Shabazz has created enduring images of style, community, and joy throughout the five boroughs, and he is particularly recognized for his documentation of Brooklyn. Take a close look at his new installation Faces and Places, 1980–2023 in this intimate outdoor conversation between the artist and curator Drew Sawyer. After the talk, join Shabazz in the Museum Shop for a signing of the limited-edition exhibition catalogue.

Tickets are $25. Member tickets are $20. Not a Member? Join today! Add a copy of the limited-edition exhibition catalogue at checkout.
