Artist’s Eye: Duke Riley SOLD OUT

Sunday, March 12, 2023

2–3 pm

Decorative Arts and Design Galleries, 4th Floor

This program is sold out. Duke Riley leads a tour of his exhibition DEATH TO THE LIVING, Long Live Trash, which tells a tale of both local pollution and global marine devastation through artworks made of plastic found in New York’s waterways. Joining Riley is Michele Klimczak, Coastal Debris Coordinator for the Fishers Island Conservancy and the subject of Riley’s film MICHELE (2022). Approximately half the plastic used in the exhibition was collected by Klimczak between 2019 and 2022.
