Our Thursday evening series continues with programs inspired by the exhibition The Rise of Sneaker Culture.

6:30–9:30 p.m. Heeling Soles Sneaker Drive
Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor
This sneaker drive, hosted by Heeling Soles, will collect shoes to help people step up and out of poverty. Bring your gently worn or new sneakers.

6:30–8 p.m. Dance Performance
Plaza and Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor
Watch a live dance battle featuring dancers from the local community.

6:30–9 p.m. Collaborative Mural: Stencil1
Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor
Join us in the creation of a 16-foot-wide community mural. Presented in collaboration with Stencil1 stencils and our Shop.

7–8 p.m. Discussion: “Sole Sister Revolution”
Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor
Take part in a conversation honoring women sneaker collectors, designers, and media makers hosted by Obsessive Sneaker Disorder’s Sean Williams. Participants include:

-Susan Boyle, owner of RIME NYC Brooklyn Sneaker Boutique
-Sole De Vida, sneaker collector/consumer Featured by New Balance
-April Walker, owner and creator of the 1st Urban Fashion Brand Walker Wear
-Sophia Chang, New York born-and-bred illustrator and designer

7:30–9:30 p.m. Dance Party with I Love Vinyl
Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor
An all vinyl dance party inspired by the evolution of the sneaker, featuring classics from throughout the decades played by DJ collective I Love Vinyl.
