Book Release: American Islamophobia

Sunday, May 20, 2018

12–2 pm

Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor

How can we understand the roots of irrational fear and hatred toward Islam and Muslim communities? Join us for the New York release of Khaled A. Beydoun’s American Islamophobia: Understanding the Roots and Rise of Fear. In his new book, Beydoun, a leading scholar on critical race theory, offers a comprehensive portrayal of Islamophobia, Muslim America, and the history of anti-Muslim bigotry. He is joined by Zaheer Ali, Oral Historian at Brooklyn Historical Society and director of the Muslims in Brooklyn project. Followed by a signing in our Shop.

Free with Museum general admission, but please RSVP (purchase tickets for David Bowie is separately).
