Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor
In recognition of World AIDS Day, the Brooklyn Museum joins organizations throughout the United States in presenting simultaneous, free public screenings of Untitled. This one-hour film will be shown every hour, beginning at 1 p.m. and ending with a final, 5 p.m. screening.
Distributed for Visual AIDS’s 2011 Day With(out) Art, the film presents a nonlinear montage of archival and pop footage depicting the passionate activism sparked by the early years of the AIDS crisis and continuing through the last turbulent decades. Untitled is a powerful and provocative reflection on our era, an examination of the convergence of political protest and personal experience.
